This privacy policy explains what information Estate Haul collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English on purpose. If anything is unclear, please contact us.
We collect three categories of information: information you give us, information collected automatically, and information from third-party advertising or analytics partners.
When you fill out the post-your-sale form, the contact form, or the moving quotes form, we collect the fields you provide — name, email, phone, city, sale date, and any optional details. We use this information to publish your sale, route your inquiry, or match you with vetted moving partners. We do not sell this information to third parties.
Like virtually every web property, our servers log basic request information: IP address, browser, referring page, and the URL you visited. We use these logs for security, debugging, and aggregate analytics. We retain raw access logs for thirty days and aggregate statistics indefinitely.
We use a small number of first-party cookies for session management and preference storage. We do not use cookies to build cross-site advertising profiles. Third-party advertising partners (such as Google AdSense, when active on the site) may set their own cookies; their use is governed by their own privacy policies.
Estate Haul carries display advertising in clearly labeled slots. When advertising is served by Google AdSense or comparable networks, those networks may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your interests. You can opt out of personalized advertising at Google's ads settings or via the DAA opt-out tool.
We do not collect Social Security numbers, payment-card numbers (we do not process payments directly), driver's license numbers, or precise GPS coordinates. We do not request access to your contacts, microphone, or camera.
You may request deletion of any personal information we hold about you at any time by emailing the contact address on our contact page. We will confirm deletion within ten business days. Once a sale listing has been published, the listing itself becomes part of the historical record; we will remove identifying personal information (name, email, phone) on request, while leaving the anonymized record (date, city, item categories) in place for archival integrity.
Estate Haul is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
We will post any changes to this policy on this page and update the "last updated" date at the top. Material changes will also be announced on the home page for at least seven days.
For privacy questions, data deletion requests, or to exercise your rights under applicable privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR), please use the contact page and select "Privacy" as the topic.
